Who is Duke the Dog?

Hi, SlimDPet-Bloggers-Gift-Exchange-graphicoggy Jack here! We’re joining up with the This ‘N That Thursday crew to talk about a number of different things today.

I want to start with a big SHOUT OUT for my Pet Blogger’s Gift Exchange partner, Duke from Life with Duke. Duke was adopted by his new family about 6 months ago and is as happy as can be. He’s a young guy, just under two years old and his blog is all about his adventures and learning new things with his new family.

Duke lives in Boston and is kind of a wild and crazy Boston Terrier/Boxer mix – or “Boxton” as his mom calls him and I think it’s pretty well suited. I stopped by to visit Duke & see what he’s up to and saw this video the other day:

WOW! It sure makes me jealous, I can barely get two feet off the ground at the same time, much less four with a 360 spin like this. I think Duke should join the circus!

Anyways, Duke’s blog is lots of fun and you should check it out.

The next thing I want to tell you about is one of my favorite topics – TREATS! A few weeks ago, I won a prize from my pals over at For Love of a Dog. It was pack of Kong Pumpkin treats. You can see on the label it was addressed to me, so I figured I could eat all of them.
Momz said I had to share with Maggie – but as you can see Maggie doesn’t share very well.

And FINALLY, there’s something growing down at the farm…way to early to tell what it is, but you can see the little sprouts coming up. I sure hope it’s bacon this time.

  1. It is hard when you have to share with your fur siblings…trust me I know. I put in all the hard work, get the prizes and they reap the rewards… If you really have bacon growing in that field, let me know, I will be there in a flash! The only thing growing at my house is snow and cold for the next few months.

  2. Yay, new crops! Can’t wait to see what it is. Nothing but drab brown and cold here. We won some of those pumpkin treats too, and all the dogs had to share, so don’t feel bad, Jack! We love Duke, but don’t get over to his blog as often as we’d like to, so thanks for the reminder.

  11. We live in So Cal and have crops year round. I’m going to start looking for bacon! Right now it is artichoke season, and red and yellow bell pepper season just ended. I wonder when bacon season would be. ~Cooper the Cattledog
