    • True. We had a special dog bag and once our Sally saw that bag come out then she was no longer sad to see the suitcases.

  7. Ah yes, a familiar scene. Toby likes to stand in the suitcase while I pack. Bella and DiDi just pace back and forth.

  8. This is why I only pack in the dead of night after Eko has gone to sleep. I feel like a thief in my own apartment, but it’s better than having Eko mope about.

    • I do the same…wait till the very last minute. Know Jack knows as soon as he sees me bringing clothes out of the closet…so sad.

  11. Mom rarely leaves, so we don’t mind it at all. Back when Mom was a flight attendant with her dog Trine, Trine would always start panicking when she saw a suitcase.

  19. Awww — the “it’s happening… sssssiiiigggghhhhh”. I don’t go many places that require one, but I do think the dogs are cluing in about what the suitcase means.

Leaving the house in general? Dogs seem to know I need to go somewhere before I do.
