Blog Hop Badge103_250

Today kicks-off the week-long Resolve to Move Your Mutt Blog Hop!  Yes, you have all week to join us in proclaiming your resolutions and your dog’s resolutions for the year. Our goal is to band together in an effort to help each other KEEP our resolutions. We plan to hold this Hop each quarter, so we can report on our progress or reaffirm our RESOLVE!

How do you join? It’s easy:

  1. Decide on your resolution (or resolutions if you have more than one) for yourself and/or your dog.
  2. Make a sign with your dog’s resolution.
  3. Take a photo of your dog with the sign (ala dog shaming…we are trying to make this a bit entertaining after all!)
  4. If you are a Blogger, you can join the Hop through the linky below.
  5. If you are not a Blogger, you can join us by:
  • Posting the photo to the SlimDoggy or PetsMove Facebook page
  • Posting the photo to Instagram with #resolvetomoveyourmutt
  • Tweet your photo with #resolvetomoveyourmutt
  • Email the photo to and we will post it with everyone else

We will add everyone who joins to our Photo Albums on SlimDoggy & PetsMove and we also encourage you to join PetsMove, track how you are doing with our Diary feature and keep us apprised of your efforts to keep your resolutions.

Here’s one of SlimDoggy Jack resolutions (more to come throughout the week, so check back).

Blog Hop Badge103_250We are co-hosting this Hop with our friends from Keep the Tail Wagging, so be sure and check out their Resolutions – and everyone else in the Hop. And leave a word of encouragement – remember, together we RESOLVE to Move Our Mutts and to keep our resolutions!

  1. Oops, just now realized the part about the sign. We just wrote it in the post, I guess Mom fails at following directions. I will send her to the corner for a while. Nevertheless, we are joining.

    • No worries about the sign…I tried, but couldn’t get our Maggie to let me put it around her neck!

  7. Glad the sign isn’t a requirement — none of my girls would be comfortable wearing it.

This is a tough week for working on resolutions with the hubby at home and the holiday obligations. I hadn’t planned on starting to “move my mutts” until next week, when things will be back to abnormal. But they have been getting some exercise running around the yard, chasing each other, as usual (except on miserably cold, rainy days). And I have been watching the calorie intake so that it doesn’t exceed the calorie burn.

    • I couldn’t get Maggie to wear one either…don’t worry, there are no rules at SlimDoggy. 🙂 That’s good you’re getting out – it is tough to try to manage all the abnormal routines of the holidays and start trying ti instill new habits – almost impossible. Just do it when you can.

  8. I wonder if my dog will stay still long enough for me to get a picture with him and the sign… Maybe that’ll be his resolution : Staying still with a sign.

  9. We are glad to join the movement!
