RESOLVE TO MOVE YOUR MUTT! ~ Blog Hop

We are excited to announce a NEW Blog Hop for 2014.

Resolve to Move Your MUTT!

We are sponsoring this Hop along with our co-host Keep the Tail Wagging as an New Year’s Challenge for everyone who makes resolutions to exercise themselves or their pet more often or to feed themselves or their pet better and then fails to follow through. Statistics suggest that almost 80% of us do, indeed fail to follow through. Let’s change that!

newyearsresolutionOur hope is that banding together with your furry friends and fellow Hoppers will provide some incentive to stick with it. Accountability helps, so we will hold the Hop quarterly so we can check in with each other and publicize our progress or shame ourselves into doing better. How do you join? Relax, we aren’t asking for you to write a post, and you don’t even have to have a Blog to participate.

All we want is a photo of your dog (or you and your dog) with a list of your resolutions (similar to Jack’s photo you see here). It could be resolutions for yourself or resolutions for your pet – all are welcome, we are an equal opportunity Hop. Post it to your blog and join the Hop or post it to our PetsMoveorg Facebook page, or just send us the picture and we’ll post it for you (info@slimdoggy.com).

The main thing is to join us in resolving to get yourself and your pet moving in 2014. Of course, we encourage you to track your activities on PetsMove.org and update your dog’s weight at least once a month so you can keep track of your progress throughout the year. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

The Hop will kick off on December 29th and run through January 4th to coincide with the PetsMove.org Move Your Mutt-a-Thon virtual event.

  1. I love it! I can’t wait to get images of our dogs! I have so many excuses, it’s not even funny. I love my figure, but I need to get in 4 dog shape; I’m just in 2 dog shape. 2014! WATCH OUT!!!!

  4. Well I can’t say I can’t wait- but I’m certainly planning to join and think it’s a great idea (I’m sure I’d be more enthusiastic or have more resolve if I lived in California). I shared and let’s discuss my TV episode as editing next week into January. X Talent Hounds

    • You are right, living in CA does make working out a bit easier. Love to talk about the show.

  5. So important! One thing I can say I’m very good at is providing my dog enough exercise. One of my favorite parts of the day is walking my dog. It’s relaxing and I know it’s good for us both.

  9. Hey guys. I’m very excited about this concept. The only problem is I’m right in the middle of school holidays & planning on camping over the dates of your first Move your Mutt-a-Thon & I can’t guarantee what the internet service will be like SO I’ll have to bow out of the initial launch & hopefully can get involved further down the track with your monthly BlogHops

    • OH, that’s too bad, we sure wanted our down under folks to participate. If you want to send a picture of Scooter & his resolution, I can add him to our FB photo wall of our members resolutions.
