Park Day 2.0 BINGO!

Jack and Maggie got their first Bingo today in Gizmo & Finn’s Park Day 2.0.

It was a great excursion. First we visited a park less than 10 minutes from our house. That’s easy because there’s one right down our street.

It’s a steep trail that goes up to the top of the mountains and into Wildwood Park, although we don’t usually hike that far. Here I am sniffing out some stuff on the trail – probably those stinking coyotes.

This park also has a stream that runs through it and we get to go over a bridge to get to the other side of the trail. It’s pretty cool. Here’s the bridge. This is about as ‘woodsy’ as it gets in our neck of the woods.

And here’s me looking at the water under the bridge. It rained the night before, so there was lots of water. Most of the time it’s pretty light and mom let’s me wade in it.

Here’s the Bingo card we completed. It was kind of an easy one:

BINGO!

BINGO!

  1. Visit a Park less than 10 minutes from your house – CHECK!
  2. Follow Gizmo’s Blog – CHECK!
  3. Hike a woodsy trail – CHECK!
  4. Follow Finn’s Blog – CHECK!
  5. BINGO!!!! Yeah for me.

We are working on some other Bingo cards, but finding butterflies at this time of year is tough – maybe I’ll swap butterflies with hawks, because we get to see them all the time. And we don’t have too many squirrels (because of the hawks I think), but we have lots of bunnies – can I swap?

  1. Hi Y’all!

    Congrats on your Bingo!

We’re so rural there “ain’t nothin'” within 10 mins of either the high country or low country house.

    Y’all come by now,

  2. Yay, great job on your first Bingo! That looks like a very nice park, so great to have something like that close to home. I think Gizmo and Finn are pretty lenient…I bet they would let you swap a butterfly or squirrel for a hawk or a bunny!

  3. BINGO!!!! Thanks for playing!! Of course you can swap. I couldn’t find butterflies either so I made one out of paper for Finn to sniff. I like your nearby park! Very cool!

    • We are very lucky to have access to such great places.

  5. Great BINGO playing! We’re rural… closest park is about 40 miles away… no BINGO for us!

    • 40 miles 🙁 Worth the drive, but not very convenient!

  6. Congrats Jack! One thing I like about this game is seeing all the different landscapes of all our friends…yours is certainly different than mine, but both are equally great to explore…and of course you can swap…Finn & I are very liberal (ps you really don’t have squirrels? want some? BOL!)

    • Well, we have some squirrels – but mostly ground squirrels and we just don’t see them that often. There’s some that used to live in the big pine trees in our backyard, but I’ve been watching for them all week and nothing! I’ll trade you some squirrels for rabbits – we have TONS of those!
