Five ways to help out your local rescue/shelter.

This is worth the quick read.

Here are a few other ways you can help:

  • Become a “Fitness foster”.  Volunteer to exercise dogs that your local rescue has placed in foster homes.  Often times the foster parent is not able to exercise their foster dog properly and this can be a big help!  Take them to the dog park or take them for a walk or run.  I have done this informally with a local rescue and it is an amazing way to contribute.  Its fun, you will meet some wonderful dogs (and people), and you can improve your own fitness while your at it.
  • Use your social media accounts to promote your local rescue.  Subscribe to their streams and share their message with your friends and followers.
  • Buy products from companies (like SlimDoggy 😉 ) that give back to and support the rescue community.

Please do what you can to help your local dog rescue or shelter.  Even small contributions of time, money, or goods can help improve a dog’s life.  Thanks in advance!
