BlogPaws Report | SlimDoggy Jack

Mom says she’s too tired to write today, so SlimDoggy Jack here reporting on BlogPaws 2014.
First off, I’ll have to report that Maggie and I didn’t get to go to BlogPaws. At first we weren’t too happy about being left alone, but then we found our Aunt T. was going to come and stay with us and she likes to spoil us and give us treats, so we were okay with it.

I told mom to be sure and meet all of my friends and get pictures of them so I could post them up on my blog, but she didn’t do a very good job. She got pictures of this crazy pet called a Capybara that really looks like a big rat – probably because it is a rodent. And then she got a picture of these baby chicks that our friend Flea from Jones Chews brought. She says they were cute, I thought they looked tasty.
She got pictures of my friend Dolly, the Doxie, Sugar, the Golder Retriever and Rocco and his mom Diane, but that was it – pretty disappointing effort on the photo taking mom.
She tells me she met a lot more of our friends there, but neglected to get pictures. She met Emma and Bailie from MyGBGV Life, Dexter, our buddy from FidosofReality, Roxy & Torrey from Roxy the Traveling Dog, Mort from Dogthusiast, Fido from Hiking with Fido, the adventure weiners, Chester & Gretel from You Did What With Your Weiner, and the guys from Cascadian Nomads, Huxley, Brychywn & Wilhelm and Riley from Oh My Shihtzu.
I was glad that some of my friends got left behind too, but mom and dad got to meet their parents, like Luna’s from Beagles and Bargain, and Chronicles of Cardigan and OMD! Oh My Dog and Tales and Tails and Kolchak the Puggle and Keep the Tail Wagging and too many others for me to remember, so don’t be offended if I don’t list you.
Dad’s buddy Robert from Pet World Insider was there with Derrick doing interviews with all sorts of people, so that will be fun to watch for. And our new friend Robin from Playful Kitty was there too – well, she’s really SlimKitty’s friend, but we’ll put her on our list. Mom said she met lots of other cat bloggers too that are going to be friends of SlimKitty’s.
She also said she went to sessions, whatever they are and learned some stuff about blogging and SEO and Google Analytics that I don’t care about and then went to a speech by a veterinarian about this Habri organization and their research into human-animal bond which she went on and on about – seemed pretty interesting to her and she said she was going to write a post about it.
But the most important thing they waited until today to uncover – the SWAG BAG! They just put it away in the guest bedroom until today – what were they thinking? That’s the most important take away from the meeting. Mom dumped everything out on the bed and I scoped it out – looks like a pretty good haul. I immediately spied a menace in the form of a stuffed gorilla, so I quickly grabbed him made off with it and dismembered it before it hurt mom or Maggie. The rest of this loot, I will slowly review over time.
Mom and dad said they had a good time, met lots of nice people, talked to a lot of the “Food Brands” about our Food database and made a lot of new friends. My Aunt T. took really good care of Maggie and me and we are really grateful she came to stay with us since I can’t reach the can opener to open our dog food.
Hopefully, life will be back to normal now.

We are joining up with the Monday Mischief Blog Hop, hosted by Snoopy’s Dog Blog, Alfie’s Blog and My Brown Newfies

  8. That swag bag looks like heaven. I have been entering contest to win one of them since I didn’t get to go and neither did mom. You know its hard for those pawents to learn while taking photos. My ma can barely chew gum and walk much less get photos of everything.
Can’t wait to hear your reviews and hope your pawents get some rest.

  15. What a fantastic recap! And Mort loved meeting you too. Mort must agree with Jack regarding the most important thing – the swag bag (his takeaway: He’s quite sad that he has to share with Tig, but happy to report that *someone* was too tired to measure his raw last night and instead gave him some of the cans from the swag bags.

I’m sure there was lots going on, making it difficult to get lots of really good photos, so I think your Mom did pretty well under the circumstances.
