  1. I’d be looking on in sympathy too! I hope everything healed up OK!

    • It did – thanks – this was her 2nd surgery – had one on her other knee a few years earlier. Labs are tough on their joints!

  2. Awww!!! So pitiful … We thought Teach was going to have to have the same thing done, but thankfully it was just a strained muscle! Glad to hear you healed up just fine.

  3. That does not look like any fun! Another beautiful black lab you had. I love to see the older photos.

    • She was actually a deep, dark, yummy chocolate – but it’s hard to tell in these B&W photos.

  4. Her fur is so shiny! My brothers lab, Toby, had to have his knees done a few years ago too. We think he’s hard on his joints because Toby thinks he is a small dog in a huge body- the opposite of my dachshund, Wilhelm!

    • Her cast was a bright pink color – though…maybe I should have left it pink!

  6. Aww, poor baby! Bet she was pampered and spoiled looking so sad.

    • Oh, she was for sure!

  7. I think Tino was actually thinking, “I hope those humans don’t do that to me, too.”

    • BOL! Luckily we never did!

  8. awe, poor girl. My Norman had the same surgery. He only needed one leg done. He feels her pain. Happy Sunday.

  9. Oh, no. That looks really uncomfortable. I assume it made Sally all better though.

    • She was a tough little thing and she did bounce right back. We had to stop running her very far, so just short easy runs, but she still got out there every chance she got!

  10. Woof! Woof! Tino surely feels bad. Poor Sally. Hope you guys had a wonderful Sunday. Woof to Jack n Maggie. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

  11. Aww…This reminds me of my chocolate labrador Charlie. He too had TPLO surgery . It’s a very tough 8 weeks after the operation, where you have to be careful that your dog doesn’t move around much. Keeping a young lab stationary is no mean feat! 🙂 But it was all worth it in the end. Great photo.
